Journalist v1.9 – comments not shown

    Hello, as stated in title, I’m using the theme The Journalist v1.9 by Lucian E. Marin for my blog, and I just noticed that the comments are no longer shown!

    At first this was surprising, but when I tweaked a little bit further, I discovered that was because of the setting “Automatically close comments on articles older than 30 days”, that I activated a month ago…
    The problem is that a post with comments will, after 30 days have passed, appear *without* the indication of the number of comments. (but of course clicking on its title will show the entire post, along with existing comments).

    Is this expected behaviour, or a bug? Doesn’t it makes more sense to show the comment line when comments exist, regardless of how much time has passed?

    I believe you need Staff help in order to determine what it “normal” behavior in this theme with regard to the comments issue you have described. Here’s the link to contact them with http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/
