  I would like to create a system where students could have a blog where they can reflect on training by allowing them to get a URL like yourname.pilotjourney.com.

  How do I do that?

  if you want a blog for each of your student, you could download the wordpress multiuser install software. it works like wp.com, and they can all have the username.pilotjourney.com url.
