Jump link to bottom of page from Menu item
-
Hi,
I have the widget bar on my blog right at the bottom of my page, this is my preference and I’d like to keep it that way. However that means the “follow this blog” option is right at the bottom and is probably being missed by most visitors.
I would like to add a jump link from a menu item to “Follow this blog”, and I want the jump link to divert to the widget bar at the bottom of the page.
Any ideas on how to achieve this?
I looked at using bookmarks but most of the forums for those is for linking within a page, not from a menu item.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hello Helenriddiough,
I do not know how to do this and I have not tried it myself, but maybe this will help you:

Good luck,

Hi John
Thanks for your link but it only shows how to anchor links within a page. I wanted to link to either the footer or a specfic widget in the footer from a menu.
Thank you anyway!

You are welcome Helen, I was hoping that maybe you could use some of that information to help you figure out how to do that because maybe the steps are similar, but hopefully someone with some knowledge about this will answer your question soon. ;)
Good luck,

ah! If only I was so technically minded, alas, i’m a bit of a techie dunce :)
Will keep my fingers crossed for some more advice soon. -
Do not under estimate yourself too much Helen, you might be surprise what you can do with a bit of technical knowledge and guessing/trial and error and common sense, because often you can build/use previous technical knowledge to figure out/solve/troubleshoot future technical challenges because often that knowledge can be used to help you in various technical scenarios. (If that made any sense :D ) ;)
