Jump to anchor when page opens

Is it possible to do this as soon as the page opens after it is selected from an option in the sidebar?
Thanks
Mike

No it’s not possible to do this in a widget in your sidebar if what you are referring to is these widgets > Pages, Recent Posts, Categories, Links, etc. It is however possible to use jump links in posts and on pages. See: http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/page-jumps/ and http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/08/01/links-to-specific-points-on-a-page/

Thanks TT. I have added “Jump to Next Event” link to the top of the “Program of Events” page. It’s just one extra click and it should be obvious to the user. I just need to remember to move the anchor as time goes by.
