junk text screen? and XHTML gobbledy-gook
-
How come when I click “Site Admin” under “Meta”, or “New Post” at the top of my blog, I sometimes (most of the time, but not 100% of the time) get some kind of junk mostly text screen? All the items are listed down the left side of the screen, there is no menu at the top. Then there’s only a small little box to enter my new post in, and if I paste something in there, it doesn’t carry over the formating (like an embedded link or whatever). What in the world is going on? I’ve been using WordPress for about a week, and haven’t run into this problem until yesterday and today.
Also, under the “Leave a Reply” on Comments, how do I get rid of all that crap (it is: “XHTML: You can use these tags: <b>
<cite>
<del datetime=""> <i> <q cite=""> <strike> "). It looks terrible.Aliman

The second part is theme dependent.
As for the first part, I’ve seen that happen once or twice. What browser and OS are you using? Any ad or script blocking software?

The text under the comment box is to show your commenters what html they can use in comments. In most cases it can be hidden with the paid CSS upgrade, but there is official support for editing CSS and therefore is not recommended unless you have experience with writing and editing CSS.

Ignore my last post, I just checked and with the theme you are using it seems to be coded into the theme files and probably cannot be removed.

OK, I think I discovered it: Firefox seems to be the culprit, because when I open in IE everything works a lot better. Aloha, Aliman

Aliman, you might try clearing your Firefox browser cache and cookies and see if it still happens.
