  all i want to do is set up a blog so that family members can look at and view what i write about our father. Also, the family members can also add to the blog.

  Hi there,

  This is exactly the type of thing WordPress.com is for.

  To create a new site, go to https://wordpress.com/start/site/ and just follow the steps.

  If you want family members to contribute, they’ll first need to create their own WordPress.com username accounts. They can do this without creating a site at https://wordpress.com/start/account/user/

  Once they’ve created their accounts, you can invite them to the site as explained here:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/
