  Hi,

  I have just a casual question.

  Why WP do not support flash? Many times I wanted to add something a little fanciful that uses flash, it will not support it. For example, http://www.widgeo.net/?ref=geo.

  Maybe I am not proficient enough to code for my site to use flash?

  It’s for security reasons. We share the guts of our blogs with everyone else using the same theme, so you’re always exposed to the biggest risks that anyone on that theme is using. Flash is very often used to introduce vulnerabilities, and so that’s just too big a risk.

  If you provide the URL for the blog in question and post a Flash code here that Panos or TSP or airoddysey will provide a gigya shortcode for it. However, the last time you posted you had a front page that was very long, was filled with next to nothing but embeds, and took forever to load so I hope you took the advice Panos gave you then and reduced the number of posts on your front page.

  Hi All,

  Thanks for all the replies. I can understand if it is for security issue.

  As for my previous questions on page failed to load, it is not due to the embedded pictures or videos. It is in fact that WP has been encountering DDOS during that time and my IP is within the range identified as dangerous. After thd ban has been lifted, I can accessy page without any issue.
