Just a general comment – WordPress vs. Blogger image
-
I have been using WordPress for months and very pleased, however, the image feature is not nearly as good as Blogger. That is my only complaint. It was so easy to center the image, left, right and especially size of the graphic – position in middle of post. Also, the download the thumbnail and ‘full-size’ was so confusing to me at first. Didn’t know if others had experienced this also, or if just me.

I find the alignment of images quite easy; just a matter of selecting the image and clicking the left, right or center icon. I find it easier than Blogger, actually. I agree with you about the size of images, though, but it’s easier to upload images to Flickr anyway and import through the picture icon; it saves your upload space and allows you several ways to resize.
A few people have suggested a feature to have more options in thumbnail sizes; you might like to send an email to staff if that sounds good to you too.

Hey I will try that with Flickr, and didn’t know about the clicking left, right, or center icon. See what you learn! Will take your suggestion about the thumbnail.
Thanks. -

It’s icons 7, 8 and 9 that you are looking for and here they are illustrated http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/15/what-do-all-the-icons-mean/ -
I cannot believe this! I have been posting all of this time…dragging the image across…it’s been travelling back to the left…frustrated as heck….and today…ta! da! Catch my latest post with the centering! http://cherished79.wordpress.com
I knew what the icons meant for the body of the letter, just never knew that they were ever in use for images. Something new for a Sunday. Thanks everyone. -

I had the opposite experience: I don’t really get the image manipulation stuff at Blogger at all; ours seems much more versatile. I spent way too much time resizing and everything before uploading before.
