can’t even get beyond the sign-up process for free blog without being forced to map or buy domain. just awful. sad to see a good company destroyed like this. wordpress will go downhills from now onwards. why ruin a good cms?

It all depends on the choices you make during sign-up, you can still sign-up for a free blog.

It’s pretty apparent that WordPress is going to ban anyone who has something significant to say. So my question is: If I use WordPress to design a site, but go to another ISP, will WordPress be able to ban me?

What give you the idea would wordpress.com would ban you? Because of your language, I tagged this to get help from Staff.

Please don’t post into threads created by other users with a completely unrelated topic.

WordPress is free, open source software found on WordPress.org, that anyone can download and use for whatever they want. Neither we, nor the folks on WordPress.org, have any control over who uses that software, nor can we ban anyone from using it.

You are posting in the forums for the hosting provider, WordPress.com. We have certain guidelines around what types of content we allow on sites hosted on our servers. You agreed to those guidelines when you created your account with us, and as long as you don’t violate those guidelines, there is no reason why your site would become suspended.
