Just bought a domain from wordpress and its not working

We wanted to give are blog (www.live360.wordpress.com) its own domain name. We registered a .net domain name by clicking the register new domain name here. We paid the 15 credits and it just redirects us to http://www.live-360.net now which is nothing…..do we have to register are domain somewhere else to or is paying the 15 credits on wordpress enough ?

I believe this normally takes 3-4 days to become activated.

I’m not sure so please ignore what I said above. What I do know is that I have seen other posts like this recently where people were experiencing delays.

If you followed the instructions here http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/11/10/domain-mapping/ and it isn’t happening then perhaps you should send an email to support (at) wordpress (dot) com.

The term “discourage” kinda suggests they are alive and respond to requests or simple mind tricks, lol…..one day the spammers will start including that form of layout in their harvest settings.

It is crazy that you have to do that to try and keep the amount of unwanted advertising to a minimum. It’ll get to the point where you have no choice but to hide your email behind a script…..even then, it will only slow down the flood.

I reckon a world wide death penalty for spammers would make the internet (especially communication with other internet users in various formats) safer and more efficient.

Should actually take 5 minutes for the domain to come up. Best bet would be to send in an email to support at this domain with a copy of your paypal receipt and ask for a staff member to look into it.

Thanks for the report. There is a problem with domain purchases right now (they have since been temporarily disabled). As soon as the problem is fixed, we will get the existing problems sorted out (darkhunter139) and re-enable new purchases. Thank you for your patience.

Probably Monday. I have switched your blog URL back to http://live360.wordpress.com/ on your Options –> Domains page so it no longer redirects to the non-existent domain and your blog is accessible. Once the issue is resolved we will let you know. Sorry for the trouble.
