Just changed themes and have two problems

  Two things.
  1) I just switched over from one theme to another (“Duet” to “Untitled”) and am having some troubles. First, I accidently deleted my “home” page, and can’t figure out how to make a new one. Therefore the “Home” icon at the top of the menu bar (standard on the “untitled” theme) goes to an “oops!” page. Can’t figure this out.

  2) I’m trying to access the “Customize” button on my theme dashboard and it keeps freezing while loading it up.

  Just wondering how to deal with these problems.

  Hi Nicole,

  They’re actually related—if you delete the home page, the customizer will flip out :-).

  You can undelete your deleted pages by clicking the Trash link above the list of pages at Pages->All Pages if you wish (direct link here: https://nmguiniling.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=trash&post_type=page )

  Afterwards, or if you want to select a different page in either case, then visit Settings->Reader to declare a new static front page or choose to show your latest posts instead: https://nmguiniling.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php

  Once the home page is set, the Customizer will work again. Please let me know if you have any questions or need anything else.
