Just checking for TOS compliance.
-
Hi, I’ve been around here for what seems like forever and have never done anything on my blog even remotely commercial. Today I added a link back to a page on my web site where people can order back issues of the Hillary Clinton Quarterly, of which I am co-editor. My place here is too important to me to risking losing it so I am wondering if someone who knows the TOS stuff better than I would be willing to take a look to see that I am in compliance. I know about the script and affiliate issues but also recall that links to one’s own works are acceptable. Is this OK?

I’m not staff, but to new people reading this thread staff is entirely supportive of artists and writers using WP.com to promote their own thing. Except when their art is performance art about how auditing your thetans can make you a millionaire, etc.

The concise answer that I got from Mark when I asked was, “You created it, you can sell it – no problem at all :)”.

I remember several years ago checking out this issue and the policy seemed rather ambiguous back then. Having this clarification and an example to review should be helpful to newcomers.
