just migrated from windows live space. where are my photos??

  Help!

  major purpose of having that windows live space is to share photos, where are they now? Thanks!

  If your photos were used within posts on your space, they will have been imported to WordPress.com.

  If you only had them in a Windows Live Photos or Windows Live Skydrive storage area or album, they will not be moved to WordPress.com – you can still log in to those services and find your images there.

  thanks Markel, I didn’t use the photos within posts, they were under the “photo album” in live space. I could upload them again if I could find the photos… how do I log in to those services? the original link is now automatically redirected to wordpress.

  Thanks for the very useful link relating to the transition from Windows Live Spaces (WLS) to WordPress. I have just two questions, 1) Will those photos found only in the WLS albums continue to exist and be accessible on WLS after the transition deadline date? 2) Will the photos, documents, etc. found within the “Groups” section of WLS likewise exist and be accessible on WLS after the transition deadline? Thanks!!

  I would like to see something from Microsoft and/or WordPress that answers the photo album question definitely. I would hate to see a bunch of WLS users with albums over there lose their photos because no one confirmed that the albums are going away.

  Hi Ryan – I cannot log onto Windows Live to get my photos. I am already redirected to WordPress where of course they have disappeared. Do you know how to get to the photos?

  You have to go to http://photos.live.com/ and log in there.
