just misunderstood the difference between have a .com vs wordpress.com

  a few hours ago, I registered my kitchensinkdiary.wordpress.com for kitchensinkdiary.com and paid via paypal. Was told I shouldn’t have done that, and proceeded to cancel it. having second thoughts about cancelling. Anything I can do to change it and get back the kitchensinkdiary.com?
