Just noticed I’ve been charged £51 annually since 2018 for a domain I don’t have access to.

I am being charged £51 annually (since 2018) for a domain name , which I have had no access to from 2017. I have only just noticed this on my bank statement, as a family member was taking care of my finances while I was suffering from mental health and have only recently been able to take back control of my finances. I would like to know if I can claim back any monies as the admin can check and note that I haven’t accessed my initial account (I dont have access to the email address i signed up with back then or to the wordpress domain I am paying for), since 2017. I also get a ‘Server Not Found’ message when I type in the url that shows via paypal (which I couldn’t remember the name of until checking my bank statements and paypal activity. I have been on low income since 2017. Please help.
The site I need help with is yesterdaywheniwasyoung776439638.wordpress.com.

Thank you in advance for your time.

Hi there,
Can you tell us the domain/site you’re being charged for? We cannot help without knowing what site/account you’re speaking of.
Before we can do anything we’d need to verify your ownership of the account in question. Once we do that we’ll be able to refund the most recent charge, provided it was within the refund period. But it is completely impossible for us to refund charges from previous years – after a certain period of time a payment cannot be refunded any more.
If you’re not sure what site the charge is for, please search for the charge at https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/ – enter the transaction details on that form, and it will tell you if that charge exists on our end and what site it’s for.
You can also use the Contact Support link on that page to contact our billing support team directly for further help with this – to track down the transaction we’ll need to get some additional information from you which we cannot discuss here in the public forums.
