Just paid for upgrade and still can’t upload audacity mp3 file
-
Before switching to WordPress.com, I had an edublog page. I was able to insert an audio file from audacity and then my podcasts were on my page. I’ve tried it with the WordPress and it’s not working. I recorded in Audacity, exported as an MP3 and then uploaded it to my gallery. How can I get it out of my gallery and onto my page? I’ve read through a bunch of posts on the forum page but the best I can find is to upload it somewhere online first. I haven’t done this before so I could use some help – what is a good site to do this with. Thanks for your help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

A link to your WordPress.COM blog?
Assuming that you are hosted here on WordPress.com http://support.wordpress.com/audio/

Thank you for the link. I am hosted on WordPress.com and I read through the articles and did everything it said to do step by step and it not placed the podcast on my page. My address is: http://www.rglenboski.wordpress.com. Please help if you can.
Thanks.

I don’t have a URL for the file upload. I uploaded it from my computer using these instructions from the support site listed above. All it does is add the title of the podcast to my page, but it’s not linked to anything where it can be played. The file is in my Media Library.
Below are the instructions I followed:
2) Buy the Space Upgrade. This allows you to upload mp3, ogg, wav, m4a, mov, wmv, avi, and mpg files to your blog and play them too.
To upload the file, click on “Add New” under the Media icon in the sidebar of your dashboard and select the file from your computer.
Note that only mp3 audio files can be directly played on WordPress audio player. For other types of audio, it may be played on other embedded media players.

@mrsglenboski-OK, so that means you’ve uploaded it, which is the first step. Now you have to insert it in your post. Every file in your Media Library has an “address” or URL which you need to link to like the example in the support page for Audio.
When you are in the Write Editor of the Post where you want to insert the mp3, click on the “add audio” button in the toolbar at the top of the write window. After the Upload window opens, click on the “Media Library” tab since you’ve already uploaded the mp3 file. Find the file you uploaded and then click “Show”. Now you should see three choices under Link URL: “None”, “Link URL” and “File URL”. Choose the “Link URL” and then the “Insert in Post” button to insert it into your post.
Since I don’t have the space upgrade I’m making a guess here. If the audio bracket isn’t automatically inserted, you will have to insert it yourself according to the instructions in the Support page mentioned previously.
Another resource http://wordpress.tv/2009/01/05/embedding-photos-video-audio-into-your-posts/ which unfortunately is just as minimalistic as the support page description.
