Just updated and now I'm getting fatal error

  We just updated wordpress and now we are getting this error.
  “Fatal error: fatal flex scanner internal error–end of buffer missed in /wp-includes/functions.php on line 4485”

  Any idea what is going on or how to fix it? A backup wasn’t made before the update and I won’t have ftp access to the site for at least another hour.
