Just upgraded my domain but the dashboard is still old

Hey guys, I just upgraded my blog makingmoneyonlineguides.wordpress.com to roads-2-riches.com but I see that my dashboard hasn’t upgraded. My url did what I wanted it to do as far as redirecting goes but it doesn’t give me the”self hosted” dashboard appearance. You know, with the “plug in” option along with the other features. Have done something wrong? Please clarify as this is a bit confusing.

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate. You need to hire a web host, set up a self hosted WordPress.org install and move you content into it. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-to-wordpress-org

I see… Now I know the difference. But does that mean I can even remove the dates from my posts, permalink I think its called? Does it have to be self hosted to do that as well?

We cannot edit permalink structure on WordPress.com blogs. So yes, you will require a self hosted WordPress.org install if that’s what you want to do.
