Just want to add custom header
-
I have a custom header I created and because I basically know nothing about CSS I would really just like to find out how to add it to my blog and remove the current one for now. Is there a simple way to tell me how to delete the current header and add my own (image) as a header without getting too confusing?

The site linked to your username is not a wordpress.COM blog. What is the URL of your wordpress.COM blog please?

It would require the paid CSS upgrade with this theme, but this theme is a little different as the two sections of horizontal rule at the bottom of the header area are part of the original image, and the header image actually cuts up and over the rounded are at the top of the sidebar. If you are good with photoshop or another good image editing program you could make something that would look integrated with the present design, but it will take a little work so that it does not look like it is “tacked” on.
It’s in the #header section of the CSS.
This is the URL of the current header image: http://s3.wordpress.com/wp-content/themes/pub/dusk/images/header.gif

It’s an awful lot easier to switch themes to something with custom header enabled and just use the regular uploader. You don’t need the CSS upgrade at all to do that.
