Justifying text

  Can anyone tell me how to justify text on ‘Classic’ mode? Used to be easy in the days before ‘Block’ was introduced (which I don’t use) but now seems to be rather harder. Seem to remember that it used work if you did ‘CTRL J’ something (as in J for justify) but that doesn’t seem to work now either….
