  What is the max file size supported under their free plan?

  Whose? WordPress’s? You have 3 gigs of storage space; there’s no reason you can’t blow it all in one go.

  1 GB is the max supported size, but you can upload larger files if you have a stable internet connection and it’s an accepted file type. Some people have uploaded 1.5 to 2 GB files with success.
