Karuna Theme Footer Not Visible
-
I’m not sure why, but the footer is not visible either on the published site or in the editor – it’s probably something simple, but I can’t find anywhere how to activate or turn on the footer area in that theme.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there:
It looks like you may have started your website using the Blank Canvas theme at first before you switched to the Karuna theme?
If so, it’s because of two things:
1. Your front page is set to use a page created in the Blank Canvas theme – by that theme’s very nature, you start with a blank canvas and you would need to add content including a footer for that to display. That page is also set to a draft.
2. You don’t have a front page set in your Settings -> Reading section. With no front page set, this is what site visitors will see when they visit your page:

To fix this, you need to do one of two things:
– Either create a new page in the Karuna theme that will use the same content in your existing front page draft, or,
– You need to edit that existing page in the Full Site Editor (FSE) to add the Footer Block to the layout.
If you intend to create more pages for your site, you might be better off in the long run recreating your homepage in Karuna, then it will reflect the proper header and footer on every page going forward.
I hope that helps!
