Karuna theme – show logo image and topbar tagline without showing site title
-
Hi, I’m wondering if it’s possible to show a logo image and the tagline in the top bar, without showing the site title under the logo? (Without upgrading to Custom CSS). Obviously I can just not give the site a title, but this isn’t ideal for SEO purposes. (Website is sebastiansek.wordpress.com).

It’s not possible to display the logo with only the tagline without custom CSS – the options are:
– Display logo (uncheck the “Display Site Title and Tagline” box in the Customizer’s Site Identity panel & upload logo)
– Display logo, site title & tagline (check “Display Site Title and Tagline” & upload logo)
– Display site title & tagline (check “Display Site Title and Tagline” and don’t upload logo)Just let me know if you need further help.

Hi. I have the same question. I’m fine with using custom CSS though. Can you provide some guidance as to how I would have the site title in the metadata (for SEO/search purposes) but not show it on the site? Thanks!

Hi @christinelim, I’m not seeing you have a WordPress.com Premium or Business plan upgrade, which would be required to add custom CSS, but on Karuna, the following custom CSS would hide the site title and leave the site description/tagline.
.site-title a { display: none; }
