Keep existing site, how to implement new theme

    Good morning,

    Im working for a client who currently has a wordpress website with a custom theme.

    The site got hacked (there was NO security but that is now solved) and this lead to the customer wanting a complete re-vamp of the existing website. I exported everything from the current site already.

    We will be running a brand new theme..My question is: What is the easiest way to work on the new website with the new theme, keep the existing site live and once im ready to make the new theme live, whats the best way to do this ?

    Hi there. As you don’t provide a URL I can’t be sure, but I’m guessing your client has a self-hosted WordPress.org website as WordPress.com blogs come with security built in and they don’t get hacked. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and different and this support forum is only for free WordPress.com sites. http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
