Keep Getting Unauthorized WordPress.com Password Reset Emails

I’ve received three different emails in the past two days. Somebody appears to be trying to gain access to my account/blog.
” Someone recently requested that the password be reset for [REDACTED].
To reset your password please click this button:
Reset password
If this is a mistake just ignore this email – your password will not be changed. “I am otherwise ignoring, but is there anything I can do to have WP get an IP to me so I can tell this joker’s ISP to shut him/her down before they cause trouble?

As long as your admin name is not “Admin” and it is not, and your email is secure (try changing your email password, just to make sure), then you have nothing to worry about. Have you annoyed anyone lately?

I’ve been annoying people for decades. Email password is secure, contains upper and lower case, numbers and symbols and is long. Guess I just have to live with annoying emails. Karma’s a bitch!

I want to reassure you that you can safely ignore those password reset emails. Your WordPress.com password won’t be changed unless you follow the password reset link in the email to complete the process.
Users’ IP address are considered private data, as described here: Private User Data

Why on earth would somebody or some bot want to generate these emails to me almost every day?

Who knows? Perhaps they are a troll or perhaps they keep typing in the wrong thing. Blog on and ignore these emails.
