  I just want to start a blog for my business. How can I keep my own website?

  Hi there,

  You can start a new site on WordPress.com by going to https://wordpress.com/start/site/

  I’m not sure what you mean by keeping your own website, though. Starting a site with us won’t in any way affect any other websites you already own somewhere else.

  If you can provide more details on what you’re trying to do, we might be able to give you some more specific advice.

  I want to only start a blog but when I go through the process at step 5 it asks me to move my domain name. I want to keep my domain name with my website.

  You do not need to move your domain, you can either register one specifically for your blog, or use the free subdomain. You can also map a subdomain for your blog as explained here:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-subdomain/
