Keep My SEO and post for my webpage.

    Hello!
    I already have a web page with blogger and i was thinking to get a new one with wordpress.
    The question is, can i keep mi SEO and all the data (more than 200 post) of my old web page?
    If its positive, how i can do that?

    Hello @3dtriatlon,

    To move all your content from Blogger to WordPress, you have to use the Import tool as explained here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/import/.

    As for the SEO, you have to keep in mind a couple of things:
    – The whole onpage optimisation you’ve done on your content will be imported with the content itself. I’d suggest you to run some checks on tags to see if there’s consistency, just because it’s better to be safe than sorry :)
    – The search engines will take up to 8 weeks to fetch and index your new WordPress website = see any improvements on SEO.
    – By keeping your Blogger page online along with the WordPress one, the WordPress page can be labeled as ‘duplicate content’, which prevents search engines to index your content hosted on WordPress on their page results. This is not a penalisation at all from search engines, they’re only preventing the same content to be displayed on the search engine page results, because there’s no need to them to have the same content repeated many times on the same research query.
    Therefore, if you want to boost your WordPress page, the best solution would be to create a URL redirect from Blogger to WordPress to make sure that all the organic results coming from Blogger will be led to your new blog.
