keep new wordpress site relevant in google searches

    I have an existing domain and website that has very good Google search rankings. I’ve created a new site on WordPress.com and am willing to,”site redirect” for $13/year to my existing domain. But I’m concerned I’ll lose my search rankings with the new WordPress site. I know they have 301 redirects to handle this situation. What can I do to make sure that my new website is still Google-relevant after I redirect my site to my own domain?
