Keep site active but remove all content

  I’d like to keep my site active, but remove all content. I keep getting a deletion error when I try to delete posts from the trash.

  Hi

  First, could you confirm the URL of the website that you are working with? The directions we provide here are for WordPress.com hosted sites only.

  Here’s a link that walks you through the process of removing all of your content: https://en.support.wordpress.com/empty-site/

  I suspect you may already be following those steps. If you are still getting stuck when you try to delete the posts from the trash, and you are using a WordPress.com hosted site, please type modlook in the tags box in the right hand column of this post. Forum volunteers won’t be able to help with the deletion error, but a staff moderator can take a look.

  If you are using a self-hosted or WordPress.org site, you’ll need to check with your web hosting company or the self-hosted forum at https://wordpress.org/support/
