Keep wordpress.com adress after upgrading

  Is it possible to keep the wordpress.com-adress after upgrading to a paid version?

  Or must I get a top-domain like .com or a similar one?

  Hi there,

  You don’t have to replace the free address with a custom domain when you upgrade to a paid plan – it’s totally fine to continue using the free address on a paid site if you’re happy with it :)

  The free WordPress.com address for your site never goes away. Even if you add a custom domain at some point, it continues existing in the background, and should the domain ever expire your site automatically reverts back to that free address.
