Keeping my email

    I recently purchased my domain from GoDaddy and now I am trying to decide if I want to transfer the domain or map it. I would prefer to transfer so that I can just do everything through WordPress but as part of the GoDaddy purchase I received 5 free email addresses. Will these all transfer with the domain name?

    Hi there, if GoDaddy was hosting the email, that email hosting wouldn’t transfer and would still be hosted there. If they had offered the email through another provider, it’s possible it would just keep working. Do you know if it’s gmail based, for example?

    Also, you might check with GoDaddy: if you get to keep five free email addresses so long as your domain (but not hosting) is there, you might just stick with mapping the domain, but it’s up to you.

    If you need more help, could you let us know what the domain is? We may be able to tell who the email provider is from that.
