Keeping my followers and changing my URL

  I am readying to change the URL on my existing blog. I cannot afford to loose my list of subscribers/followers. I assume that changing the URL will not affect my list of followers and they will continue getting notices of my new posts. Am I thinking clearly?

  If you change your URL following the guide at http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/ you won’t lose your followers.

  Also, if you’re actually registering a domain on your blog via Store -> Domains in your Dashboard, you won’t lose your followers.
