Keeping Paragraph Breaks in My Post — thanks!
-
Help! Nothing I did allowed the paragraph breaks to remain. I even inserted fake quotation marks. My last post displayed the paragraph breaks.
I wrote it a couple of weeks ago. Is it possible I wrote it in Google Chrome, even though I usually use Safari. What I read implies that clearing my browser cache might solve my problem — but that sounds very complicated. Can I use Safari and have this work? What didn’t I do?
Thanks, Susanne

Both of the two posts you have published show paragraph breaks. If you don’t see them on your computer, then you need to clear your browser cache. Doing that really is not complicated:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cacheOr you can close your browser and restart it.
Or you can shut down your computer and then restart it.Browsers save “caches” so that your web activity goes along faster. They save information on your computer so it does not have to reload each time you look at a web page you visit often. But sometimes they save that cache (or info) without changing to the lastest version of the file you are viewing.
Take a deep breathe and follow the directions in the link above. All will be well!
Best wishes!

Dear Tess: (I hope I’m replying in correct box — this box appeared when I replied last time…)
Thanks for your kind reply. Thing is, the only reason there are paragraph breaks is that I — many times — went back and hit “hard paragraph breaks,” i.e., Shift-Return to make them, and then they’d disappear and reappear. A bit time-wasting. I suspect that cookies and cache thing you are talking about would solve the whole problem, but I’m a bit scared to get into that stuff.
If that’s my only option, is it possible someone could be on the phone with me while I do it?
Many thanks,
Susanne
