Keeping the current free address address if upgrade

    My sites has many references / links to this site. If I upgrade to a paid plane, (which has domain name) will I be able to keep teh current address: https://xxx.wordpress.com/, along or instead of the new domain name? Or do you redirect addressed at https://xxx.wordpress.com/ to new domain name with correct full URL for each blog page? like https://xxx.wordpress.com/aaa.html remains active and just redirected to https://xxx.com/aaa.html fr all the links?

    Hello, from my experience, when you upgrade to a paid plan, you keep the free domain (xxx.wordpress.com) additionally to the domain purchased with the plan.

    If you want to redirect the Default Domain (xxx.wordpress.com) to the recently purchased domain you can set the new one as “Primary Site Address” under the “Domains” configuration option and that way the Default Domain will be redirected.
