Keeping whois protection I paid for with wordpress domain when switching hosts?

    Hello,
    I am thinking about switching over to another hosting site and would have to pay on that site to do it. Since I purchased a domain on wordpress, when it transfers over, do I lose the whois privacy protection I paid for? Would I have to purchase it again on the other hosting site? Or will it carry over.

    Hello,
    Privacy protection is connected to the domain registration and would need to be repurchased if you transfer your domain to another registrar. If you leave your domain registered with WordPress.com (Wild West Domains is the registrar) and point it to another host, then the privacy protection remains in place.
