Keeping your custom domain?
-
Hello! I have the following question. If I want to migrate from Premium WordPress. Com to self hosted WordPress.org, what are the possibilities to keep my custom domain and not create new one.
Thank you!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
You can definitely transfer your domain once it has been registered with its current host for at least 60 days:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/transfer-domain-registration/
If you want to use the domain with your new site and you are still within the first 60 days of registration, you can point the nameservers over to the new site host:
Hope that helps.

Thanks. I actually canceled it and requested refund to start from scratch. But I cannot access my site now. I mean the original with subdomain wordpress.com. Does it take time after downgrading to return to your free domain. I have not deleted it. I just canceled paid plan.

Hello there,
The downgrade should be instant, once the domain and plan have been removed.
I can see the site active here: momentsplusfeelings.wordpress.com
Are you looking to use the domain momentsplusfeelings.com – with another provider?
Many thanks in advance.

Hello. I cannot access momentsplusfeelings.wordpress.com
It redirects me to the domain I canceled: momentsplusfeelings.com
Also I still have access to the WordAds settings, which I should not, and I don’t want to be accused in cheating.Yes, I want to create blog, that I will own, but rushed with the Premium plan. I love it here at WordPress.com. but I guess it is better if you are in USA. Anyway, I will still use WordPress, but wordpress.org. I haven’t decided on a provider yet. Can you have a domain here and use hosting in another provider? I am really new to these things in particular.
This blog is band new, as content, so I want to start somewhere and continue there.Thanks.
