Kerr theme: Posts don't show on homepage

    When I create a post, it does not appear on the home page under the “latest.” At first, the same post appeared three times in separate columns. I deleted that and started again and now nothing posts to homepage. The software just creates a series of empty boxes on the homepage.

    I have substituted another template, then switched back, and still get the same.

    Help.

    Hi there,

    I took a look at your front page, and I see that you have a query loop block, which is one of the ways you can display posts on your site, but that block is missing the Post Title and Post Excerpt blocks which are the placeholders for the actual posts that will appear there.

    You can manually insert those blocks under the Post Template block highlighted in that screenshot. But I think it might be simpler to completely remove the query loop block, and add in a new one. When you add in a new one, go with the option to choose a preconfigured layout, and select the one closest to what you want. Then you can tweak that layout until it looks like you want it to – that generally easier than creating a new layout from scratch with this block :)

    You might also consider looking at the Blog Posts block – that’s an alternative option to the Query Loop block for displaying your posts, and while it has fewer options to customize it, it’s much simpler to set up than the Query Loop:
