  I’ve completed the transition to being hosted at WordPress.com. It went well. Good instructions!

  Where do I insert “key words” so that search engines will find my site when the words match?

  It’s not possible to edit meta tags on WordPress.com blogs. This is a multiuser blogging platform. All blogs wearing the same theme use the same template. Only Staff can access those files and edit as every edit they make affects all blogs wearing the same theme. Search engine spiders look for keywords in content. Moreover Google does not use the keywords meta tag in web ranking – Monday, September 21, 2009

  Note that the way we verify blog ownership with the major search engines is by this process for free hosted WordPress.com blogs.
