Keyboard Navigation for Maximum Accessibility

    Hello, I am using the Stratford theme and tried to test out keyboard navigation but was not able to get it to work. Currently on the free plan and using Chrome, tested in Safari as well. How do I know if my theme can be keyboard navigated? When I click on ‘info’ about this theme, I am guided to the general forum. Thank you in advance.

    Hi there,

    All our themes should support keyboard navigation.

    Can you give some more details on exactly what you were trying to do that didn’t work as expected?

    Hello, thanks for the response, good to know that all themes should support keyboard navigation. I was trying to navigate between the menu items, I could not get any of the menu items highlighted with keyboard only and was essentially ‘stuck’ on the home page. Can you let me know if it works for you?

    Hi there,

    You are using your tab key to navigate between menu items, yes?

    I visited your site and was able to use the tab key on my keyboard to navigate to your site header, logo, navigation items (including those in drop-down sub-menus) and use shift+tab to go backwards as well.

    I recorded a video so you can see me tabbing between items in the menu, and visiting a few pages by hitting my Return key as a I move about. I am also on a Mac using Chrome.

    You are not able to do the same if you try to tab around on your homepage? If not what do you see on your end that is different from what I see in the video I shot?

    Thank you so much for the video

    I was able to do it on chrome and changed the safari preferences (safari->preferences->advanced->’press tab to highlight each item on a web page’) to see it there as well

    Maybe I was doing something weird before…

    I appreciate the quick and helpful responses!
