Killed off blog, why can't I kill my account?

  I removed my blog from WordPress ages ago. But I can’t seem to delete my WordPress account.

  However, when I recently tried to post a comment on someone else’s blog using my email address, I automatically get redirected to the WordPress login wanting me to login and use my gravatar.

  I DON”T want to use my WordPress account! I WANT to keep my email account, but now I can’t leave comments on WordPress blogs. This is ridiculous. Why won’t WordPress let me go? It’s like a stalker ex-boyfriend. Seriously not cool.

  Please help.
