    Hi there,
    I’m trying to pick up the best theme for my music band and I have 3 questions:
    1. which theme will allow me to have different photos on my desktop and mobile landing pages?
    2. when upgrading my pricing plan will I have to upload again / re-configure…?
    3. once I select my theme and build my band’s website, will it be possible to integrate it with an email management platform (CRM) easily?

    Hi there Richard, I’ll need to answer these out of order if that’s alright! We’ll start with the simplest:

    – Upgrading keeps the same site and just lets you add more features & a custom domain.

    – Yes, you can add an email management / CRM platform so long as your plan supports it. All plans support a built-in option to subscribe to new posts, too, but they aren’t a full CRM:

    – As far as a theme allowing different images for mobile and desktop, can you clarify what you’re hoping for there? Are you wanting a different-looking set of images for every post and page on the site, or just one page/post? Or are you just hoping to show smaller, mobile-optimized images as needed? If you just need smaller/mobile optimized images, just upload your desktop-friendly images and we’ll automatically convert them for you in most cases.

    Regarding the last point I need to clarify indeed as I didn’t get the answer I needed :)

    Desktop landing pages feature horizontal photos most of the time. When viewed on mobile these photos get (most of the time) cropped to a vertical format. We are a band and most of our visual content is in horizontal format, thus cropping our photos for a mobile display would remove / cut out some band members from our key visual.

    So my question is the following… can a key visual displayed on a home page be a different photo when viewed on desktop versus mobile (for instance the band with all members next to each other in horizontal format for desktop view / and all band members standing very close to each other in vertical format for mobile view)?

    If the horizontal image aspect is important, it might be easiest to disable the mobile version of your site and force mobile viewers to see the desktop version.
