Landing page for subscribers clicking on confirmation of subscription.

Hi. Thanks for a great platform and all your work. I love WordPress.
My question is regarding the landing page that a new subscriber arrives at after clicking “Confirm” in their email that they receive after subscribing. The page is confusing, disorganized, and it is mis-matched with the content from the blog (obviously) but in a way that confuses users — like, “Did I subscribe or what?” Perhaps a clearer notice that confirms that the subscription process is completed? I know you are hoping to have them become users of WordPress, which is fine – the landing page, though, could benefit from organization and a clean up – It would help my potential subscribers, anyway….

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • I am going to move your suggestion to the “ideas” area of our forums.

Any idea what would cause :

the new subscriber clicks the subscribe button, gets a thank you and a confirmation email is on the way but it never gets sent?

If they send automated WP.com emails to their spam folder.

  • Or, if they use gmail, it could be stuck in their “social” tab.
