Landing Page Home page problem

  I have tried to resolve this over many months by reading forums but not one of them refers tot his problems specificially. My Readings Settings show that my ‘home’ or landing page is my most recent blog post but that does not work at all, as the home page lands on one particulary blog post I did 18 months ago and no matter how hard i try to fix this and reset it, it continues to land on that page and not on my most recent blog post to then show them in reverse order.Can you help me to fix this please as people are not seeing my most recent post but an older one The Pearl that is Penang which seems to be stuck in place. It’s frustrating.
