Landing Page problem
-
I want to change my landing page to my About page, and have my blog with recent posts on the menu bar. I can change my landing page to About, but when I do this there is no way of getting to my recent posts.
I tried adding a new page to the menu called Blog with each category in my blog as a sub on that page. Didnt work.
I tried adding a link to the menu to my recent posts feed. Didnt work either.
How the F do I do this? Is because my theme doesn’t support this?
Ive also noticed that my social media sharing buttons and Facebook widget dont appear anymore for no apparent reason.
Here’s my blog http://riddellcreative.wordpress.com/
Im using the Eventbrite theme
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

By default the front page of your blog displays all published posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. That is for the convenience of your returning visitors, who come to read your latest post, and who are not likely to be happy with being compelled to click through the same static page with the same blah, blah, blah on it every time they visit the blog looking for the latest post.
However, if you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page called for example “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for posts. To do that create two pages first http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/
After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”.

Yes! Thanks.
Another question. How do I change the URLs for the pages? For blog its /blog-3 because I made two more failed attempts at making the page before this.

The 3 appeared because the first two are in your Trash. You need to permanently delete them first and then edit and change the slug. http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/#permanently-deleting-a-post-or-page

I cannot see the Facebook widget which is enabled here > Appearance > Widgets and takes time to update as the content is cached.
On my browser the sharing buttons dont appear any more.
I can click the URL and scroll down and see them so you have a browser related issue.
