Landing page vs Homepage

  I have just set up a new site, and am new to wordpress.com so bear with me if the questions I am asking are basic.

  1, I’m using the twenty twelve theme and I have managed to create a homepage & pages, but when I go to my web address to preview the site, the homepage does not display as the first page. a sort of holding/ blog page displays, along with my navigation bar, and then when i press home in the navigation panel this takes me to the home page. I want to be able get straight to the homepage by clicking on my web link, and delete the other page that is appearing.

  2, I have shadows / borders under the images with coloured backgrounds. I’ve managed to remove it on the images with white backgrounds, using css but It wont work for coloured images. I wondered if its possible to do the same thing with the gallery slideshow I have and remove the border on that?

  3. Is it possible to align the type with the slideshow box? the slideshow is showing up slightly further to the right than the text?

  4. Is it possible to remove the buttons on the slideshow so that it automatically moves and you cant press through them.

  4. The menu on my mobile version will not work anymore since I have added css code to the customizer, is there anything i can do to fix it?

  We cannot help you until you give us the URL of the site in question, starting with http. We need to see what version of software it’s using.
