Hi guys,
I am starting up a blog, I need it to be in English. My account was previously in Polish but it has been since changed to English. However, the blog itself still has many polish words (such as the ‘read more’ button and dates) that are not a good look and I can’t launch it to the readers.
Is there a way to fix this?
Thanks in advance!

Hi –
Can you send me a link to the page where the buttons didn’t translate to English? Happy to take a closer look at things.

Thank you so much :)

If you go to the blog, you will see that under the heading of the first article, it says “czytaj dalej” instead of continue reading. Also the date right below. And there are few more.. basically everything that is not in English

Ah ok, you can change your site’s language following the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/language-settings/

Hi guys,
Thank you for your help with the language issue.
I have another problem which is that the site says ‘Oops that page can’t be found’ when anyone clicks on the link despite the fact that the website has been launched through the site.
I’d be grateful if you could please assist.
Thank you in advance.

You just need to publish the page that is assigned to the front of the site. It’s likely in draft mode still. Give that a try and write back if you need more help.

Hi guys,
Thanks for all your help so far. There are still some things on the page that are in polish. Please assist!

Are you speaking of the text above the sharing buttons? That text is set manually and you can change it from the setting page at My Site ->Tools ->Marketing ->Sharing Buttons – click the Edit Label Text button at the top of that page.
