Language files for self hosted blogs?

  Some languages available at wordpress.com are not available in wordpress.org ‘s Languages repository.Could anybody have Idea on getting a language file available here to my self-hosted wordpress based website?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You need to talk with the people over at http://wordpress.ORG/support/ as that is where self-hosted wordpress blogs are supported.

  They said that those are not same language files .

  So is there any chance to avail the language files of wordpress.com to use for our self-hosted blogs?

  If they say the language files are different, then there is a high likelihood that the language files from here will not work.

  I’ll tag this thread for staff attention though and perhaps someone will be able to give you a definitive answer.

  Unfortunately, there’s far too much customized here to use our language files. They simply wouldn’t work.

  There are quite a few available languages for WordPress(.org) at http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_in_Your_Language

  They may not work.But it would be helpful to us if we have ability to use these files .So that we can save some time in translating for self-hosted wordpress.org blogs.

  Creating a fresh translation takes too much time than working with the language packs which were already translated .

  Please help me with these files ,I can do the rest of work for my self

  I can distribute the customized language packs(After customizing the files as per the need of wordpress.org) to other wordpress.org users ,if you permit(On your permission)

  More specifically Telugu .

  But I also need tamil,Hindi,malayalam ,kannada ,Marathi

  It looks like you can export those from our language system.

  Malayalam: http://translate.wordpress.com/projects/wpcom/ml/default

  Marathi: http://translate.wordpress.com/projects/wpcom/mr/default

  Tamil: http://translate.wordpress.com/projects/wpcom/ta/default

  Telugu: http://translate.wordpress.com/projects/wpcom/te/default

  Keep in mind that neither of these are complete, and they may not be compatible with your WordPress(.org) installation.
