Language options and recent changes
-
Hi,
I chose Serbian as the primary language for my blog. Recently, wordpess has been implementing many changes i.e. what is normally in English, like edit, date, comments, etc. is all being translated into Serbian. There are two issues with this:
1. I was perfectly happy with the way things were;
2. Many of these changes are gramatically improper in Serbian, or the language used is awkward.When I went to change my options and chose English as the language for my interface, it didn’t do anything.
The most recent change, as of January 1 is that the date is written literally as ‘Jan_January_Abbreviation’.
This takes about third of the width of the page, is simply ridiculous, and although I appreciate the efforts wordpress is making to offer diversity to its global community, I really liked things the way they were and would rather not have a suprise every couple of days.I know that if I change the language to English all this will disappear, but I do mostly write in Serbian.
What can be done?
Thank you.

Since this is something that will require staff’s intervention (we’re all just volunteers for the most part), I suggest sending in a detailed description to wordpress.com support.
Contact support: http://wordpress.com/contact-support/ (Mon-Fri 8am-4pm Pacific time) or using the “support” button in the upper right of your dashboard.
