Languages settings

Hi there! We have our site with two sets of languages: Galician and Spanish. Somehow, the Galician site is coded under language code ‘en’. When I try to change this for ‘gl’, the galician website goes offline and only is avaliable in spanish. This is particulary annoying because the website, ’cause the cookies, goes to the spanish version and not the galician homepage, as we have configured it.

So, is there any way to just change the ‘en’ for ‘gl’ in languages without messing everything? We have all the settings in galician but that, so I really don’t have any clue about what’s happening.

    Thanks!!

    hi,

Your website does not look like it is hosted on WordPress.com.
We’re able to help only with websites hosted on WordPress.com.

To clear up any confusion, there are 2 versions of WordPress. WordPress.com is a managed environment different from using the open source WordPress installation. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two, different entities.

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

You might check in with your host to see if there’s an error log you could look at for more information. Or, you could look in this forum; perhaps someone there has experienced something similar:
    https://wordpress.org/support/

You’ll need a free WordPress.org account to post – if you don’t already have one, you can register here:
    https://wordpress.org/support/register.php

Your hosting provider customer support may also be able to help you.

    Hope this helps
