Laptops now distort website, while desktops don't?
-
A few days ago subject website (above) showed up perfectly in all browsers on my laptop, so I could work on site using it rather than desktops machines. Now, suddenly, all browsers on my laptop (Win 7 Pro 64bit) won’t display site properly, but all desktops remain unchanged (they all show it correctly). Bamboozled about this.
Even did a sys restore to earlier time (on my ACER latptop) when site displayed properly on laptop, but after restore to point before the problem arose, made no difference. Still cannot “see” the site as I set it up and as it appears on all desktop machines.

This is how your blog displays in various devices http://www.responsinator.com/?url=firstaerosquadron.com%2F There is no restore feature on blogs. You cannot use your computer restore function to change blog display so be clear on that.
Will you provide a screenshot for Staff please? I’ll tag this thread for their attention. You can use http://snag.gy/ to share screenshots and link to them here. If you use the WordPress.com guide screenshots you can and upload it to your Media Library, and return to this thread to provide the file name so Staff can examine it.

@fasfric – Are you still having trouble with this? Your site appears to be working correctly on my laptop. If you’re still having trouble, please upload a screenshot to your media Library or use snag.gy as Timethief mentioned:

First to Ms. TimeThief: Thanks so much for the educated reply to my query re the distorted view of our website on my laptop. I was impressed by the views your link provided. Being an old timer, don’t even have a smart phone, so you let me see how our site looked on one. Magical! I did the restore of my windows 7 laptop thinking that some sort of bug was working in it to distort the browsers’ portrayal of the site in question. Whatever that bug might be, the restore didn’t help one iota, unfortunately.
Next, however, I just finished tediously pouring thru all my many apps, removing a truckload of them. Whatever was causing the trouble must have been among those removed apps, because suddenly my machine’s browsers are all again showing the FASF website properly!
Since all my other desktops were showing the site properly, it made me very suspicious of something being buggy in the laptop. And, guess that deduction was spot on.
And, Jeremy, thank you too for responding to my query. So, yes all is now well and as it should be. Really apreciate both of you thinking about this issue and giving me your professional thoughts!
AGAIN: THANKS A MILLION ! ! !

Hooray! I love happy endings. Hopefully, you won’t need to use this again but you could bookmark this thread just in case.

Thanks so much for the follow-up note, fasfric. As it turned out my computer crashed and had to be restored to factory specs. I’m still on the journey to catch up, but my WP site is looking good now! Have a great day, Bette
